I don’t know if you’ve ever been to a funeral. I had been expecting Ben’s funeral to be very serious and gloomy, but it was not like that at all. It was a bright and sunny day – not at all like what a funeral was supposed to be like. We all said our last goodbyes to our dear sweet Ben, and Mr Henderson said something that really made us feel a bit better.
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
I think Mr Henderson means that people like Ben, who are so innocent and sweet and who has not learnt the bad part of human nature, will be happy when they leave this world, because they will go to Heaven and be happy with God. When we heard what Mr Henderson said, we all felt better because we knew that our dear Ben is happy with God in Heaven...
We started to try and get back to our normal lives. Sometimes, I start to feel a bit better and then suddenly I will feel guilty about the fact that I am not feeling sad that Ben is gone... =( What’s wrong with me?
It was very hard for us to look at Ben’s clothes and toys after he passed away. They reminded us so much of him.. However, one day, we took out all his clothes and toys and decided to donate them to charity. I think he would have wanted us to do that – he would have wanted us to help other unfortunate childeren just like himself...
One day at work... I met a little girl... Oh dear.. how she reminds me of Ben!
Her name is Jackie. She has Down’s Syndrome, so she does not learn things as quickly as normal children. But she is lovely. I like her, and I like her mother too.
Guess what? Her mother offered to employ me as a babysitter for Jackie! I am going to love Jackie the same way I love Ben. I promise...

Great idea to donate Ben's Clothes And toys We all know Ben would want that to happen too so that he can share his things with those Disabled or unfortunate peoples.
You've not been feeling for ben Means that you understand in life that he had to die someday and you know what your doing to help him.

Well,i agree with Mr Henderson that Benedict is innocent and sweet.I'm pretty sure that Ben will meet God at Heaven.He'll be happy with him.

I heard that you are babysitting Jackie who has down syndrome.It's quite sad to hear that.But,i'm sure that you will take good care of her like you cared for Ben.

Huh?What is Shanka(Kush nickname)talking about?I agree with the first part about Benedict going to heaven,but I totally disagree with what he has to say for Jackie!I mean,Anna will be able to care of Jackie much easier than Ben as she can play with her,go for a walk with her down the park,and many other things that poor Ben could not do!I really do not know what Kush is thinking.

Hi Anna,
You can't change the fact that Ben is dead. The only thing you can do is to wish him happiness at the netherworld. I also heard that you have meet a new friend called Jackie who has down syndrome. But you never know that he is actually Tony's sister! I hope that you will take care of her.

I thibk it must be Jackie Chan's daughter hehe.... Although she has down syndrome but she still can do many things like normal people except that she is down syndrome. I agree what Mr Henderson said. Ben is a innocent kid who don't deserve to die so early as he has many more things to learn. Let's just hope that he lives in a very comfortable place now.

I know how it feel when Ben leave your side. I know why you you did not cry when Ben pass away at first, as you are in the state of shock. anyway, are you sure that you are going to give Ben's toys away? It will be a pity when you give Ben's toys away as there are good and bad memories along the way. If I were you I would keep the toys to prove that Ben do exist, but now he is gone he will still remain in every people heart as a cheerful and cute little boy. well, what's done is done so don't cry. I think you should focus in your school work for now.

So about the funeral..It's good that Ben's funeral wasn't too dramatic and all, To tell you this, I've been to funeral's several times and It just always seem to be a lonely and gloomy day with all the weeping and pleading like "Please don't go!" or "Please don't leave us alone!"..It seems like funeral was meant to be that way but not for Ben's!:D. I'm really glad that it was a good and sunny day:) Sad for all of you still ;)
I'm really moved by the encouraging and inspiring words that Mr. Henderson said, I hate to say this but I told you so :D You should feel much better now that he's in the perfect place with God! Ben's surely happy right now =]
There's nothing really wrong with you. Seriously, there's nothing really suprising or bad about what you feel nowadays,You do not need to be sad, It just means you've kind of moved on and accepted it..I mean sadness just always fades away for some reasons. Well, me too at first when my grandpa died, after 2 weeks we weren't sobbing all the time like we used too. I just realized that when he's happy wherever he is you too should be happy and get back to the usual life you've lived..But occassionally, It's alright to be sad, reminisce the past you had Ben..
Anyway, enough of the drama. It's time to face the new faces in your life, Jackie first of all-- She must be sweet and cuddly like Ben! at least they have something in common by being handicapped, Sad:( But i'm glad that her mom offered you to babysit her..I know you'll do a great job! =]
